Poetry by Mark Boudreau

 

This book comes from years of inspiration and the simple joy of writing. Within these pages is a wish that all readers find a reason to smile and possibly become inspired to share the love they feel inside, making our world a better place to live.

 

About the Author

Mark was born in Waterville, Maine. Growing up with three sisters and seven brothers never had a dull moment. Mom and Dad instilled a strong work ethic and devotion to family. His father’s love of hockey led the boys to lace up the skates. Hockey and soccer became Mark’s passions.
He excelled in sports and graduated from Waterville High School in 1971. Salem State University was his school of choice for a college education and the opportunity to play the sports he loved. He graduated in 1975 and was selected Student Athlete of the Year. In 1987 Mark was honored again with his induction into the Varsity Club Athletic Hall of Fame. He continued playing sports in the Waterville area, where he worked in the school system for five years before moving into the pulp and paper industry.
Mark is an avid outdoorsman and has used his teaching skills in the bowhunter and firearm safety programs. He was chosen the first Maine Bowhunter of the Year in 1999. He feels fortunate to have had a father who introduced him to many outdoor activities so he too could pass on this love to the next generation. Nature has always inspired his joy of writing, which until now has remained semi-private. After thirty-five years, Mark retired and, along with his wife, Patricia, and other family members, started the Sweet Freedom Maple Syrup business in Freedom, Maine.
