It took me two years to create this journal after being diagnosed and treated for Stage 1 Ductal Carcinoma. I wrote the poem first to put words to the ordeal. I knew I wanted to use collages or mixed-media to display my compiled photos. This book depicts the mess a breast cancer diagnosis generates, which is anything but pink.
