The author’s journey starts at a young age living in nature on a dairy farm in rural Conewango Valley, moves to Woodstock, New York, and travels the country, culminating in becoming a veterinarian, a Zen monk, a Celtic Buddhist abbess, and returning full circle to nature and veterinary work having finally found the perfection within an imperfect world.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sister Gryphon is a Lineage Holder and Abbess in the Celtic Buddhist lineage. She lives in the northern wilds of Maine with 3 dogs, 2 cats, some chickens, and a few goats. She continues to serve as a veterinarian as well as continuing to deepen her Celtic Buddhist practice and her wilderness skills, while working on the creation of Glen Ard, a monastic place for Celtic Buddhists to gather and practice.
