An Ageless Novel
by Jon Lewis
Five years after surviving the world’s worst terror attack and being hunted for her potent blood, living vampire Lauren Cortez has fully embraced her new life and finds her place in the Circle, the shadowy vampire collective. Her new job is to seek out and find new vampires like herself as they are turning and bring them under the protection of the Circle before their own bloodlust exposes them. But soon after she starts her new job, she finds herself pulled into the FBI investigation of a group of savage serial killers, who prey upon lone hikers on the scenic trails in northern Maine.
As she is pulled deeper into the investigation of the mysterious blood-thirsty group, she finds herself drawn to Daniel, one of the FBI agents on the case. Sparks fly as they work together to unravel the mystery behind these horrific attacks.

Mr. Lewis’s sophomore effort The Wolf delivers in spades and will please fans of the “bite and brawl” genre enormously. Ageless, his first work, was an excellent introduction to Lewis’s unique vision of a “world within a world” where predators walk among us. If I had any complaints with Ageless it would be that it was all too brief. This is not an issue with The Wolf, which is of a length that one can really hunker down and enjoy. There is some superb worldbuilding and solid backstory that makes this tight narrative almost scream (ha ha). If Ageless had a Joe Pitt casebooks vibe, I would say the The Wolf leans more toward a Nancy Collins, Sonja Blue series slant and honestly can’t recommend it enough…
